Rucksacks, Ticks & Cackles
Can’t they finally engineer a ruby red grapefruit without all those pesky segment dividers? Isn’t the future allegedly now? Look at the advancements in mandarin oranges… I wish that that honking, flapping din of unevenly arranged geese would cease migrating overhead. The noise…. In fact, I wish they would battle to the death in a wicked goose war of massive proportion. ...

25 relatively unimportant things...
1. I secretly wish I could be an archaeologist. (except that it would be annoying if people called me “Indiana Kafka” and even more so if they called me “Casi Jones”) 2. My kids are already funnier, smarter, kinder and prettier than I could ever be… careful who you breed with… ;) 3. I like to watch trashy reality T.V. because it makes me feel like a Truly...

Two Things:
1. It’s a bad idea to take down the Christmas lights during a blizzard… quite wintry. 2. I’m a grown up and this is my house - I can hang a hammock in my dining room if I damn well please.  So there.

Zing.
Saturday night my husband and I spontaneously decided to take the kids on a surprise trip to Dave & Busters in an effort to stimulate the economy and generally tire the beasts.  The event was a huge success (over 7,000 tickets won, enough to get the ReallyBigStuffedAnimal) and Mommy got a beer, so everyone was happy.  The girls were over-stimulated and exhausted by the time we were buckled...

Our living room TV died last night.  Now you know why I decided to start a blog. Yup. That’s the truth.   My husband said, “We should just cancel the cable and be without television for a while.”  Seriously.  He said that.  I proceeded to shoot eye-ball daggers at him with from deep within my soul.  I imagined a girl I once knew who grew up in a home without TV.  She had...

Numero Uno:
And so it begins, my foray into blogging… (I still can’t believe that “blogging” is actually a word now?) Here comes the obligatory introductory part: I am officially a 30 year old Stay at Home Mommy for two phenomenal young girls and a BestFriend/Quasi-Inept Homemaker for a much larger man-child, my husband.    Our family unit comes equipped with the standard issue...
